Sarah is based on the true-life story of my mother. Sarah’s story is the second book in the Sewards' family memoirs. The first book, Rachel: A Life Interrupted, is based on my grandmother’s life story. When I wrote Rachel’s memoir, I received many questions concerning Sarah. Rachel lived a very challenging life, and Sarah was the child who supported Rachel steadfastly through Rachel’s childbearing years.
