The Gods of Ahman-tahk

This inter-planetary fantasy epic opens in contemporary Oakland, where Danny, a member of the mysterious Shadow Clan, is being questioned by Paranormal Task Force Detective Ernie Benasco over the bombing of a witches’ coven. Danny’s brother, Tuyouk, is the chief suspect. Ernie wants answers and evidence, but rather than offer them up, Danny recounts events from Tuyouk’s past -events that, he says, transpired on another planet, three centuries ago. There, Tuyouk was a magically powerful warrior fighting against evil witches whose leader, Belall, condemned his people to extinction.

Three hundred years ago, an alien race saw extinction looming on their horizon and seeded several different worlds with their DNA. In an artificial dimension near Earth, they created a half-human race known as the KImsavi tribe. They instructed their hybrid children to live close to nature, while on the other side of that same world, an evil empress named Belall created her own version of a utopian society for her witches. Eighteen-year old Danny Heller has grown up in Belall City as a member of the "unfortunate gender".

An alien from a dying planet, Tuyouk has lived for the past 10 years in a primitive dimension near Earth. Disguised as a magical warrior, his mission is to guide and protect his people’s half-human descendants. Several months earlier, he fell in love with Ayana, a magical shaman from an estranged clan. Unfortunately, there is much Tuyouk can’t tell Ayana about who he really is, and it’s difficult to build a relationship based on lies.
