The Fifth Series - The Misadventures of Frankie Dale

His girlfriend has walked out and taken an original copy of Ziggy Stardust, the charger for his electric toothbrush, and his best mate/business partner. Jolted from his rut by a challenge to respond to one of the first five tweets he sees, Frankie falls in love and creates a publishing phenomenon. He even buys a new toothbrush with plaque removing action. Life is good.

Frankie is in love with Jen but is afraid to tell her. Together, they are working on a film script about a kidnapping. Roddy Lightning was a big star in the 60s, with his band, The Thunderbolts. A teen idol, with a habit of marrying his fellow Thunderbolts, he became a punk rebel in the 70s, a Hollywood star in the 80s, and a junkie in the 90s. At 78, he's a loveable senior with a twinkle in his eye, a lust for cake, and a failing memory.

A stroke of luck, most often reserved for other people, offers a lifeline. Writing a TV script based on a true story could be his way out. Trouble is, he only knows half the facts behind a series of daring robberies that ended in murder. Turning detective, he teams up with a lapsed arsonist and sets out to reveal the truth. With his search threatening to put his loved ones in danger, he must uncover the mysterious Fifth Man.
