You can't go far without a quick brain and some rule-bending in a place like Locksley. There's a price on Robin's head, one that has attracted a gang of ruthless mercenaries who are determined to track him down and hand him over to Guy Gisborne. So Robin is hiding out by the sea, but trouble has a way of finding him. Before long he is helping to rescue refugees and trying to avoid the attentions of customs and immigration officials. Then he and Marion discover a people-smuggling operation: desperate people brought into the country to work in slave-like conditions making cheap goods.

As conditions in Sherwood Forest grow more precarious, time is running out for inhabitants of the abandoned shopping mall. With constant pressure on them from Sheriff Marjorie and gangster Guy Gisborne, Robin decides to engage his brother, Little John, as undercover spy. And John strikes gold when he discovers his mother's plan for the ailing Sherwood Castle resort. Robin and Marion join in an audacious plan to scupper their oppressors, but the sheriff has her response prepared - and it's ferocious. Have they bitten off more they can chew this time?
