Path of the Berserker

When the cultivators came to Earth, they destroyed our entire civilization in a matter of hours. Armies fell, cities burned, and that was before the moon turned red and filled our world with monsters. Now, over a decade later, what's left of humanity slaves under the heels of our Qi-infused masters. The luckiest of us might even become one of them, they say—if we serve the Dynasty well enough and harness the power of Qi. But I want none of that. I'm sick of serving, and I want nothing to do with their world. Instead, I want them to pay for what they did to mine.

So it turns out overthrowing a 14,000-year-old cultivation empire is going to take longer than I expected, but I've made a great start. I've broken through to the Core Realm of my hidden Berserker art, established a new Terran Sect, and even discovered a tribe of lost Terrans out in the wild. There's a whole lot more at stake and even more people to save, but that's all the more reason to free the Earth from the empire's control. Not everyone is thrilled about my progression, however.

The prestigious Legionnaire Academy of Du Gok Bhong—an institution centuries old and one I never thought I'd qualify for, much less attend. Yet here I am, a Gold Bracket contender and 8th Tier Core Realm Cultivator, starship-bound to compete with the thousands of other tributes from the occupied colony worlds across the stars. For most, it's a death sentence. For me, it's my one chance to gain the imperial status I need to liberate the Earth and marry the girl I love.
