Chris Rose was a young man with most of his life ahead of him. Then came his untimely death. Now he’s trapped: the latest in a long line shepherding the worthy dead to their final resting place. Here in the Intermission, souls await their fate: a trip to an eternity in paradise, or annihilation in the discarded chunks of burning city refuse below.

There seems to be no hope of escape, until Chris discovers a group of scientists designing a portal that could lead him away from this place.
