Serenity Ward is the golden girl of Kaycie. She never questioned her city's status as the last dry land on earth. The Establishment takes care of its citizens . . . or so she thought. But now she's seen the map! Why would they lie about other islands just beyond the horizon? In a city built on falsehood, figuring out who to trust is its own challenge, but Serenity pulls together a feisty group who all want the same thing—an end to the government which has hidden a world from them.

Serenity Ward must come to terms with her role in Kaycie's flawed society. The Establishment is corrupt, but there are those pushing for change from within. Division isn't exclusive to the elite group, though. The islands splinter in the wake of the uprising as webs of lies are untangled.

Conflict has subsided. Rebuilding is underway. But for those at the heart of the upheaval, moving forward won't be easy. Mistakes must be rectified. Hearts must heal. Limits are tested when unlikely alliances form. Taking the fight to Montica pushes the shaken Kaycians to their breaking points, but even back home, dangers loom.
