"I nattens mørke dyb" er andet bind i Péter Nádas' monumentale romanværk, "Parallelle historier", der nu endelig foreligger i dansk oversættelse. Et europæisk hovedværk om to familier fra Berlin og Budapest. Af deres liv og skæbner væves et storslået billedtæppe, som spejler Europas historie i det 20. århundrede fra mellemkrigstiden og frem til Berlinmurens fald. Péter Nádas er blevet sammenlignet med litteraturhistoriens helt store sværvægtere som Thomas Mann, Robert Musil, Leo Tolstoj og Marcel Proust.

"Frihedens åndedrag" er tredje og sidste bind i Nádas' monumentale romanværk om to familier fra Berlin og Budapest. Af deres liv og skæbner væves et storslået billedtæppe, som spejler Europas historie i det 20. århundrede fra mellemkrigstiden og frem til Berlinmurens fald. Péter Nádas brugte 18 år på at skrive "Parallelle historier", som af de ungarske anmeldere blev hyldet som "Krig og fred for det 21. århundrede". Et fascinerende og provokerende romanværk i tre bind, som befæster hans position som en af vor tids allerstørste fortællere og har fået kritikere verden over til at sidestille ham med forfattere som Marcel Proust, Robert Musil, Thomas Mann og Lev Tolstoj.
