My husband and I moved from Idaho due to a job transfer in the fall of 1999 to a little town in South Dakota. We were new empty nesters and left our friends and family behind to live, to us, in a strange new world. Terry wanted to be as close to the land as he could get, so we bought a small house in the little prairie town of Viborg. I wrote weekly letters and a detailed journal for the six years we were there. These letters and other writings provide the basis of my stories. We had many memorable experiences.
