It is Halloween. Spid is reading a book about The Legend of Wookey Hollow. There are lots of spooky goings-on … and the pumpkins are not what they seem.

To be born a wizard is to be born into a life of servitude, to be a pawn under a king's control. Daylen has chosen otherwise, to live as a rogue wizard. However, a life of freedom will come at a heavy price. History has shown he is destined to live a life in hiding, to be forever on the run, and to have his life cut short at the hands of a Mageslayer. Perhaps the worst outcome of all, is the likelihood that he would never realize his full potential; as a wizard, or simply feel at home in the world.

In this story, Spid is horrified to find litter has been thrown into his garden. But he soon realises that littering and rubbish aren't just a problem for him—they're a problem for the whole planet. So he decides to do something about it. But he needs an idea. A really good idea. And he needs one now.

It’s New Year’s Eve and the last thing Spid wants to do is celebrate. Now Spidmas is over, he feels unloved and unappreciated. But just as Spid is thinking he’ll never make anything of himself, Bid comes up with an idea that changes everything.

It’s almost Bid’s birthday and Spid is worried. He wants it to be Bid’s best birthday ever because she is his most favorite spidling in the whole wide world. But there’s a problem. No matter how hard he thinks, he doesn’t have a single birthday present idea anywhere in his worried head.
