Gibran Jalil Gibran (Yibran Jalil Yibran ibn Mija'il ibn Sa'd era su nombre completo en árabe) fue un poeta, pintor, novelista y ensayista libanés. Nace en la ciudad de Bisharri, al norte de Beirut, Líbano, el 6 de enero de 1883, de niño aprende de varias personas, entre ellas su abuelo materno, del conocimiento del arte y del saber universal, que fueron base para la literatura y la pintura. en 1895. The Prophet is a book of 26 simple prose fables written in by the fabled Lebanese-American poet and writer Kahlil Gibran. It was originally published in 1923 by Alfred A. Knopf and is Gibran's best known work.
