The Pilgrim’s Progress, written by John Bunyon in 1678 is the first, most famous and widely read Christian novel of all time. It has been translated into 200 languages and never been out of print. The author’s goal is to warn poor, thoughtless sinners, not with smooth words they can ignore, but with words that thunder against their consciences regarding the danger of their souls and the increasing wretchedness into which they are madly hurrying.
