The Montagues and the Capulets, two families of Verona, have been feuding for generations. Young Romeo Montague intends to cause trouble at a Capulet gathering, but while there he sees the Capulet's daughter, Juliet, and falls hopelessly in love. Albert Finney, Claire Bloom, Edith Evans, and Hilton Edwards perform an unabridged version of Shakespeare's tragedy about the two young lovers, whose deaths unite their warring families.

The play centres on the warrior Caius Marcius Coriolanus who, aside from his military prowess and political alliances, supports the old patrician model of Roman authority and is therefore totally out of touch with the needs of the ordinary people. The Roman General Titus Andronicus returns from war with four prisoners who vow to take revenge against him. They rape and mutilate Titus' daughter and have his sons killed and banished. Titus kills two of them and cooks them into a pie, which he serves to their mother before killing her, too. The Roman emperor kills Titus, and Titus' last remaining son kills the emperor and takes his place.

The story revolves around its two central characters: Othello, a Moorish general in the Venetian army, and his unfaithful ensign, Iago. This is one of the most prolific Shakespeare works, featuring themes of passion, jealousy, love, betrayal, revenge and repentance. In Hamlet, the Prince of Denmark has recently lost his father, but his mother is in a hurry to marry her late husband's brother. Hamlet is overwhelmed with grief for his father's death but also outraged because of the hurried marriage. Most people don't realize that there are three versions of Hamlet, printed at different times. King Lear is a tragedy written by William Shakespeare. Claudio is deceived by a malicious plot and denounces Hero as unchaste before they marry. She faints and is believed dead but recovers to be proved innocent by a chance discovery. Benedict wins Beatrice’s love defending her cousin’s honour, and to his surprise, Claudio is reunited with Hero, who he believed dead.

"The Merchant of Venice" is a 16th-century play by William Shakespeare in which a merchant in Venice must default on a large loan provided by a Jewish moneylender.
