Judy Garland stars in this Lux Radio version of L. Frank Baums' The Wizard of Oz, based on the 1939 film which also starred Miss Garland, where she travels to a far off land of adventure and danger, only to learn that "there's no place like home".

I had a warehouse that I used to smuggle drugs and guns. The warehouse was full and I was planning on making a final big sell before I could retire and live a simple life. It was all set in a few days when one of my workers ratted me out. The cops surrounded my place and I was cornered. I thought about putting up a fight but there was only one of me and more cops than I cared to count. I was about turn myself in when a warning alert blasted from the radio that a tornado was coming.

There is no yellow brick road here. No emerald city. No lollipop guild. This is the Australis Penal Colony, a continent sized prison referred to the world over as the Outcast Zone. Built to contain the world's most dangerous criminals, OZ ended up the dumping ground for everything polite society deemed undesirable. From inside this place, a garbled message proves Dorothy's father is still alive, trapped in a prison with only one way in and no way out.
