Story
In the Upanishads, illumined sages share flashes of insight, the results of their investigation into consciousness itself. In extraordinary visions, they experience directly a transcendent Reality which is the essence, or Self, of each created being. They teach that each of us, each Self, is eternal, deathless, one with the power that created the universe.

Story
Upanishads are mankind's oldest works of philosophy, predating the earliest Greek philosophy. They are the concluding part of the Vedas, the ancient Indian sacred literature, and mark the culmination of a tradition of speculative thought first expressed in the Rig-Veda more than 4,000 years ago. Remarkable for their meditative depth, spirit of doubt and intellectual honesty, the Upanishads are concerned with the knowledge of the Brahman, the Ultimate Reality, and man's relationship with it.

Story
Upanishads have a wealth of stories and tales which enrich us with various concepts of "Self-realization", "Brahman" or the "Supreme-Being", "Aatman" or the "Supreme-Self" and many other foundational building blocks of Santana Dharma. These stories are not only engaging but leave us with an ever-lasting resonance of thoughts. Many of these stories are pretty popular such as the Story of Nachiketa and his dialogues with the Lord of Death or the tale of Gargi or Satyakama. However, each time you hear them will provide you with a different aspect. So if you are tired after work, if you are down ...

The Katha Upanishad is one of the primary Upanishads, and is embedded in the last eight short sections of the Katha school of the Krishna Yajurveda. The text is divided into two chapters, each consisting of three sections. The first chapter is considered to be of older origin than the second. Story
Swami Sarvapriyananda teaches the Mundaka Upanishad which one of the major Upanishads belonging to the Atharva Veda. Mundaka means ''shaved'' like a shaved head. The teachings revealed in this Upanishad are meant to leave the student clean, or shaved of the veil of ignorance. Indeed, the study of this Upanishad has been traditionally confined to the shaven-heads, or the sannyasins, who have renounced everything and devoted themselves exclusively to contemplation.

Story
The Mandukya Upanishad is an important Upanishad, particularly to its Advaita Vedanta school. It succinctly presents several central doctrines, namely that "the universe is Brahman," "the Self (Atma) exists and is Brahman," and "the four states of consciousness". The Mandukya Upanishad, the shortest of all, also presents several theories about the syllable Aum, and that it symbolizes self. It is in prose, consisting of twelve short verses, and is associated with a Rig Vedic school of scholars and is assigned to Atharvaveda. One of the first known extant metrical commentary on this Upanishad was...
