The time has come for four children to be named the new Protectors of Imagination Island. In an event that only happens once every 80-100 years, children all over the world scour the globe in search of lightstreams (portals) to the magical island where anything they imagine comes to life. To become a Protector, they must compete in teams and complete a series of challenges to prove they have what it takes. But not everyone will make it to the next level of Imagination Island, and the last person to reach the checkpoint will be transported back home immediately…

In 1910, Sir Robert Falcon Scott led a team of Englishmen racing to be the first people to reach the South Pole. Amidst frigid temperatures and raging winds, Scott and four others made it to the pole only to find that another team had gotten there first. Low on morale and facing ever-plunging temperatures, the trek home would prove a harrowing task.

Our hero Luca is back for the second leg of the Race to Imagination Island! This time, our plucky Racers create team mascots to help them with the three challenges they must overcome: crossing a canyon full of tricks and traps, passing through a kingdom of evil icy-blue fairies, and quite literally pulling the plug out of the ocean.

Judge Knott has never lived in a city that transformed into one, or gigantic racecourse. Where the only rule is to race as if your life depends on it, because here, it truly does. All Judge knows is a miserable life at the orphanage with his horrible caretakers Mrs. Stiddums and Ms. Himhim. Most days he goes without eating. But all this changes when he's invited to Race Island.
