The Lost World is a novel released in 1912 by Sir Arthur Conan Doyle concerning an expedition to a plateau in the Amazon basin of South America where prehistoric animals (dinosaurs and other extinct creatures) still survive.

This novel takes listeners along on a journey with Edward Malone, an intrepid reporter who wants to take on a daring assignment. He is sent on an expedition after hearing a story from Professor Challenger, a paleontologist who claims to have found a hidden world with living dinosaurs in the jungles of South America.

A journey into the deepest, darkest jungles of the Venezuelan Amazon...and a primeval place and time that mankind was never meant to exist in. Ben Cartwright, former soldier, home to mourn the loss of his father, stumbles upon cryptic letters from the past between author Arthur Conan Doyle and his great-great-grandfather who vanished while exploring the Amazon jungle in 1908.
