Klanor has destroyed Rynah's home planet, Lanyr, by stealing the crystal that controls the planet's magnetic field. His plan is to find all six of the crystals, unite them to create a deadly weapon, and destroy the entire star system...enabling him to create his own empire! With the help of the mysterious Solaris, Rynah gathers four unlikely heroes from a distant planet to fulfill the prophecy and attempt to save humanity.

After deserting the Sarkonian Empire and stealing one of their best stealth ships, Alyss Cortez and Farah Shahi knew it would be like this. Always looking over their shoulder for a far-reaching enemy. But they aren't running or hiding. Instead, the pair are accepting search and rescue jobs and planning to take down Vice-Admiral-Kaska, antimission by antimission. Except that they didn't expect things to go so wrong.

Left to die on the planet of Sunlil, Rynah and her companions find themselves alongside the one man they had thought was their enemy, Klanor, but who had been betrayed by Stein, a man he once trusted. They must abandon old hatreds and find a way off the volcanic planet before it erupts. Their Salvation comes from an old enemy: the Fragmyr Pirates. Knowing that Stein has set his sights on Earth, Rynah decides to pursuer him there, but doing so means accepting Klanor's help, a man she had vowed to kill.

Every legend has an end. Wounded and dependent upon Klanor for help, and pursued by the FBI and Stein, Rynah treks across the New Mexican desert in search of Solaris and the others. Knowing that they are following a lead from the ancient poem, she and Klanor make their way to Albuquerque to rendezvous with them. But Stein isn’t Rynah’s only worry; the president of the United States has issued an order to kill her on sight.

At least they're primates. That was Commander Riniana Tiana's first thought when she saw the primitive - but sentient - humans of Earth. She should be able to fit in...After all, her own species is primatal too. And she'd only come here to save them from invasion...But humans don't have tails. And most of them seem extremely jealous of hers! Using the curious custom of clothing, Tiana hides her tail, passes for human and pursues the alien invaders in a desperate struggle to save an ungrateful planet.
