I mainly wrote this book because I wanted to share the love story Twix and I have. Twix is my soul-mate and means more to me than anything in this world. He might be a border collie, but we have a connection and an incredible relationship, unlike anything I had ever experienced before Twix came into my life. Twix had emergency herniated disc surgery after a frisbee accident on Sept 24, 2016, and it took me five years to write this book.

Sometimes raw, sometimes humorous, but always honest, this is a true account of a woman’s struggle to overcome a paralyzing fear, get back into the sport she loves, and the friendships she develops along the way. After a lifetime of riding and owning horses and performing both in the show ring and on the trail, a difficult fall off her own horse on her own property leads Pam to realize age is catching up with her and she has become afraid to get back in the saddle.

Pamela Brink has lived in harmony with German Shepherds since she can remember. She has fiercely loved them and lived with the heartbreak of losing them. In between, she has bred her dogs, trained and showed them in obedience and rally, and guided them to win prizes including a Best in Show. In short, her life has been blessed by the devotion of these marvelous dogs.
