Welcome to Babylon, a typical sleepy Alabama small town, where years earlier the Larkin family suffered a terrible tragedy. Now they are about to endure another: 14-year-old Margaret Larkin will be robbed of her innocence and her life by a killer who is beyond the reach of the law. But something strange is happening in Babylon: traffic lights flash an eerie blue, a ghostly hand slithers from the drain of a kitchen sink, graves erupt from the local cemetery in an implacable march of terror.

The Gravediggers and friends thought that Ushaville had sucked all the horror out of their lives, but it looks like they find themselves in another hairy situation. They decide to buy a punk bar and go into business, but the customers look just a bit too furry. Well, that bites! As the people of New Orleans experience a change of attitude during the full moon, the Gravediggers must find an ancient, evil swamp witch, and convince her to give them the antidote.

Bubba, Skeeter, Amy and Joe are on vacation in New Orleans when everything goes sideways in the Big Easy and Bubba has to step in and save the day. Between beignets and hurricanes he has to deal with local constabulary, zombies, good vampires, bad vampires (who can tell the difference?), magical murders, a clothing-averse voodoo priest, and the sexy leather-clad Hunter for the Bayou territory.
