Dagmar Różyk zostaje znaleziony martwy w swoim gabinecie w okolicznościach budzących u jednych śmiech, u drugich wstręt, a jeszcze u innych - godną pożałowania radość. Za życia był obiektem pożądania kobiet, nienawiści mężczyzn, oczkiem w głowie prezesa. Motywów zabójstwa jest bez liku, tak samo jak podejrzanych. Monika, jego sekretarka, jako jedyna zna tajemnice szefa i jest zdecydowana za wszelką cenę samodzielnie odkryć prawdę. Pomaga jej młody policjant Mateusz Jankowski.
