Life is good. In just a couple short weeks, I’ll be starting a new job; I’ll be business partners with Holden in our own consulting firm. I’ll be working alongside my best friend instead of the incompetent blowhards I have to put up with now. It also means I’ll get to see more of Holden and his fiance/little Ollie. I can’t get enough of my self-appointed nephew. I love hanging out with both of them; to have adult conversations with Holden and watch Ollie play. But as happy as I am that my friends have found love, I can’t help but be jealous.

Cyril, Isaac, Ashe, Ezra, and Arlo call themselves the Lost Boys, and they’re just one branch of a "family" that rules everything in the city I grew up in. They’re the bad guys, in every sense of the word, and they don’t care who knows it. Worse? They want to show me all of their sharp, bloody edges. After a vacation gone wrong, the Lost Boys tell me that they’re the only reason I made it out alive.

Being locked up pisses me off. It was supposed to be a one-night stand. I'm f--king good at those. But Brigid is...different. And tough as hell. I like her Irish whiskey, and the way her lips feel on my...skin. She's got secrets. Hell, we all do. That's what the MC is about. Hers might get us all killed. Just another day at the office.
