It's week nine of this season of The Catch, and the cast and crew are arriving at their latest exotic location: a remote tree-covered island in the rainy North Pacific. America's most eligible bachelor (*eye-roll*) has whittled down the contestants to the Final Four, but as everyone online knows, he's probably just going to pick Vanessa. So far, so predictable. At the top of Mount Resilience, luxury yurts surround an elegant firepit—all, of course, perfectly staged and lighted. But this week's Elimination Event isn't going to go as planned.

It's been a crazy few months for Matt and Ace. Ace has been working double-time to set up their new security firm while trying to keep Matt safe. Walking the straight and narrow is a whole different experience for Ace. With Matt by his side, however, what could possibly go wrong? Matt loves Ace. He's pretty sure he wants to spend his whole life with him. But he can't help feeling smothered by the overwhelming force of Ace's protective side. So when the chance comes up for Matt to help their brand-new security firm in a big, dangerous way, he's all over it.

Set in a near future America, the world is a bit different. Powerful houses run the politics, and hence, the country, from behind the scenes. Sworn fealty to a powerful house can bring the average person a decent paying job in a world where society is scrambling to hold itself together. Sheila, a smart lass from Tennessee, sees through this BS and is trying to open the public's eyes to this power shift.
