For John and Laura Foster, what began as a fairy-tale honeymoon in 1857 aboard the steamship SS Vandervere quickly turns into a nightmare. A terrible hurricane strikes, and the grand ship begins to sink. Just before it goes under, a rescue ship appears on the horizon. But it only has room enough to save the women and children.

Oregon Trail Honeymoon is about Ida, the daughter of Chastity Skylark, who develops a hankering for the Oregon Trail. She's been living as a mountain woman for years and now it's time to test her wings. She orders up a mail order groom, as well as supplies for the four month trek and they start off on the trail, as she and her new husband Flint consider the four month trek an extended honeymoon. There are many obstacles along the way; not the least of which is simple survival.
