When Bantu Banujala, the King of Harlem, disappears after an encounter with the fearsome Beast of Harlem, he leaves a Kingdom facing an uncertain future. Zogi is now the unofficial ruler, after discovering he’s actually Bantu’s son. Harsha is his friend, but her family history is also not what she thought. They find they have more in common than they realized, but that connection leaves their friends and family feeling left out in the cold. Meanwhile, the kingdom of Ekity elects a new leader who takes advantage of the confusion by challenging Harlem’s supremacy.

In the Kingdom of Harlem, they’re dealing with the Harlem Beast, which is coming after innocent citizens and carrying them away. The Harlem Beast is attacking due to secrets that are being held by King Bantu. At the same time, the teenage Zogi and his friends are famous following the ‘Rescue Mission’ in Hago Gate. Bantu sees part of himself in Zogi, but also doesn’t trust him. But Bantu’s daughter’s wails are growing and torturing him, and his advisor tells him he must reveal his secrets for the torture and curses to end.

Socially awkward Will, grieving her mother’s death, is fascinated by Dolly, a beautiful, charming rebel with an insatiable taste for adrenaline. Both musicians come alive at Harlem jazz clubs and Prohibition-era speakeasies. Dazzled by the world they are discovering together, their romance ignites. But while Will is obsessed with Dolly, Dolly is obsessed with crime. The power dynamics keep shifting as Will agrees to commit petty crimes with Dolly in exchange for sexual favors. When the University and their rich families unite to split them up, passions escalate.
