Rumi has been described as "the most popular poet" in the United States. Rumi's popularity has gone beyond national and ethnic borders. He is considered to be one of the greatest classical poets, by the speakers of Persian language in Iran, Afghanistan, and Tajikistan. His poetry is still read worldwide today and has been translated into a wide variety of languages including Turkish, Persian, Russian, Asian, English, and Spanish languages.

Journey to happiness through writing. This book of poetry chronicles my journey through the grief of the death of my soulmate to gratitude and then, surprisingly, happiness. As I wrote and sketched I realized that the words and images welled up from my soul, helped me understand my experience, and moved me forward into healing. There are five sections in the book: "The Power of Love", "Loss and Grief", "Healing Begins", "Gestation", and "Thriving'. I have included musings and prompts after each section to encourage listeners to write their own journey to happiness and even joy.

This is a compilation of poetry. These mean a lot to me. For, each one comes from my heart. I have cried, laughed, felt every emotion that you will feel in this book. Heartbreak, love, lose, passion, breakups - we all have felt those at some points of our lives. Many may listen to a poem and say "That is me, that is how I felt" or "Is she talking about me at this moment?" The answer is yes to both these questions. You are not alone.
