Nineteen-year-old Avery Delacorte loves the water. The cast of characters includes Consuelo and Sophia, who are two devilishly clever old ladies. They are the Box Girls. They were raised in a very isolated way by their parents for the sake of safety, as if raised in a box. They developed special skills in their isolation that serve them well. Together they own Magnus Detective Agency.

She is surrounded by her loving grandparents, sweet father, and loyal friend Aleksander. Together, Joanna and Aleksander navigate Kaluszyn and explore what life has to offer. However, neither of them can foresee a series of events that will shatter their lives.
