Twelve-year-old Aksel doesn’t want to be different, he doesn’t want fingers that glow with ice, doesn’t want powers that freeze whatever he touches. He’s terrified of being found out, or worse—hurting someone with powers he can’t control. But when a strange illness overtakes his town and claims those he loves, Aksel has to face more than just coming to terms with his strange abilities. With the help of his younger sister, Cathrine, and some unexpected friends, he must journey to the tip of the mountain and go find The Snow Queen who is believed to be responsible for the curse.

Baboushka is busy with her house - she has so much to do. The late night arrival of three travelers at her cottage door interrupts her domestic routine of cleaning and polishing, and although she gives them excellent hospitality, she is relieved that they plan to travel on the following day. When the men explain that they are in search of a newborn king, Baboushka wonders whether to join them, but does not want to leave the house in a mess.

When two termites called Dustie and Woody make their way onto Noah’s Ark, they find themselves on the same journey as a wide variety of animals, including a moose and a pair of somewhat-snooty porcupines. With courage and compassion, the termites help their new friends navigate the challenging journey, bringing the famous tale of Noah’s Ark to sparkling new life from a unique, humorous and kind perspective.
