This audiobook was first published in paperback format in 2008, and although a very harrowing and deserved story, it never received the attention it deserved due to the nature of the claims made by Charmaine Mary Nona Maeer.

It is highly unusual for a victim of domestic violence, especially in a case of near-death, to flip on the abuser and play a part in his death (self-defense), but this is a case of that happening, although there were others involved and they indirectly helped a man to die.
