"Box 13" was a radio show that aired from 1948 to 1949. It starred Alan Ladd as Dan Holiday, a former newspaper reporter turned mystery novelist who, after placing an ad in the newspaper asking for adventure, receives letters from people asking for his help in solving various mysteries. Each episode features Dan taking on a new case, with the plot usually involving a missing person, a stolen object, or a murder.The show was produced by Mayfair Productions, and its creator, Richard Sanville, drew inspiration from his own experiences as a writer receiving strange letters in response to his ads. ...
