This podcast comes to you from a very tired and eternally hopefully autism mom of an adult son with profound needs. My intention is to bring together caregivers of special needs children and those who may want to gain a better understanding of our challenges and triumphs. Through the sharing of our stories and experience, I hope to build a larger, more inclusive community of support. Living the Sky Life offers a personal connection from someone who walks daily in caregiver shoes.

We mostly focus on Autism as a disability that affects a child. Little is shared about its impact on parents and guardians of children on the spectrum. How do we navigate our lives daily? What is our world like? How does raising an autistic child change you and me? So many questions, yet little answers. My world, my lens, the up’s, the downs and everything in-between. Autism, the parenting journey is about the reality of raising autistic children and adults. Speaking from autism parents there will be talks of highs and lows, specific areas of diagnosis and public perception surrounding autism. There will be advice for those who’s children are going down the pathway to diagnosis and heartfelt reality of what it’s really like to raise autistic individuals in modern society. ❤️

Join me as we have difficult and often times uncomfortable conversations about autism. We are going places that many don’t ever go. These are important conversations to be had. Parents and caregivers shouldn’t feel isolated at home with no support. It’s my greatest hope to also help provide tools to find light in this difficult journey. Together we can do it.
