Resulta fascinante que un cuerpo sin pelo, fruto de un artefacto social como la depilación, se considere muestra de feminidad innata. Lo lógico sería que el vello corporal, que separa a la niña de la mujer, se considerase intrínsecamente femenino, incluso sexi. Sin embargo, ocurre todo lo contrario, infantilizamos a las mujeres al tiempo que sexualizamos a las niñas. La mayoría de las mujeres que se depilan afirman hacerlo porque quieren, porque se sienten más atractivas o por motivos de higiene. No depilarse o mostrar públicamente que no lo hacen suele ser, más bien, una decisión política.
