St. Bernard of Clairvaux describe four loves: self-love, selfish love, loving God objectified, and loving one's self in God. These four loves are all on the path of learning to love God. He asserts that reaching the last stage of love grants a pain-free afterlife.

Ellen G. White, pioneer and prophetess of the Seventh-day Adventist Church, published Steps to Christ in 1892 as a methodical guide for the evangelical. She describes the steps needed to be taken in order to become close to Christ on a personal level. The book expands greatly on topics, such as repentance, confession, acceptance, and prayer.

One of the greatest things about living as a Christian is that we don't have to do it alone. We get to do life together and be encouraged by one another. And one of the best ways to be encouraged is by hearing other's testimonies and what they have walked through with God. So throughout this podcast I will be getting to talk to some very special people and hearing parts of their testimonies and be encouraged and hopefully encourage you too.
