After a cyber attack and wide spread sabotage by terrorists took out the United States' electrical grid, one group of survivors found themselves far worse off than the rest of the populace. This group found themselves stranded on an island with no way to cross the flooded river and soggy lands surrounding them as starvation and desperation began. The one thing they had going for them, though, to get themselves through this ordeal, was that they were preppers - people who prepare for disasters as a lifestyle or hobby.

A cyber-attack has destroyed 80 percent of America’s electrical grid leaving hundreds of millions of people in the dark with no infrastructure and no running water. Martial law has been declared, and it has been rumored that Russian troops are assisting with security and continuity of government operations. Terrorists have blown the hydroelectric Dams surrounding a prepper festival stranding the campers on an island with no chance of escape other than using their own wits and ingenuity.

David is a prepper with a heart and he sorrows for those who have not heeded the call to prepare. Those poor souls who have not put food and supplies away in case of a disaster are facing famine and disease from a cyber attack that has taken the electrical grid down. David has other laments, things that only a prepper knows or can share.

A group of stranded preppers are trying to survive the aftermath of a cyber and terrorist bomb offensive on America's electrical grid by homesteading on an old sharecropper plantation. The big cities are in ruins as societal collapse and starvation set in. The government is attempting to save some of the populace by setting up FEMA camps and enforcing martial law but they are soon overwhelmed by the sheer size of the disaster and a world without law begins.

A concerted effort by terrorists has taken down America's electrical grid by cyber-attack and sabotage. The survivors who are stranded on an island by an explosive attack on two hydroelectric dams are starving and weak, anxiously waiting for some form of rescue to arrive.
