Story
The Ministry of Truth by Dorian Lynskey is the first audiobook that fully examines the epochal and cultural event that is 1984 in all its aspects: its roots in the utopian and dystopian literature that preceded it; the personal experiences in wartime Britain that Orwell drew on as he struggled to finish his masterpiece in his dying days; and the political and cultural phenomena that the novel ignited at once upon publication and that, far from subsiding, have only grown over the decades. It explains how fiction history informs fiction and how fiction explains history.

Story
John Lennon‘s now well-known maternal half-sister Julia Baird joined forces with famous author Geoffrey Giuliano in the early 1980s to write a riveting book on her life and times on the famous Beatle. With a stirring, revealing introduction by close friend Paul McCartney, it was an immediate, internationally best-selling smash! The sometimes rocky relationship between Mrs. Baird and Mr. Giuliano, however, makes for an exciting, behind the scenes inside story.

Story
In October of 1949, a few months after publication of George Orwell‘s masterpiece, Nineteen Eighty-Four, he received a letter from fellow author Aldous Huxley, a man who, 17 years previous, had seen his own nightmarish vision of society published in the form of the classic, Brave New World. What begins as a letter of praise soon becomes a brief comparison of the two novels, and an explanation as to why Huxley believes his own earlier work to be a more realistic prediction

Story
This audiobook arose from a conversation between Hugh Cameron, an orthopedic surgeon, and Edna Quammie, an OR nurse, reminiscing about their shared memories. It was proposed at a dinner meeting of the Dinosaur Club, a group of doctors and nurses and technicians who worked in the operating room in Toronto General Hospital in the 70s and 80s. It tells of the thrills and spills - sometimes funny, sometimes sad - about life in the OR at that time which followed Woodstock, which, in a sense, changed a North American generation.

Story
