Three disillusioned SAS Special Forces operatives return to Britain in the aftermath of the 1991 Gulf conflict to discover an increasingly corrupt judiciary. Smirking miscreants walk free whilst the innocent suffer. Aided by a Scotland Yard informant, the trio embark on a brutal, covert crusade to rid Britain of its nefarious untouchables. Drug dealers, pedophiles, and various other lawbreakers are targeted as the morgues fill and the courts empty.

While the hunt for the former SAS trio continues across Britain, a wave of pro-vigilantism is whipped up by the duplicitous UK media. Detective Inspector Jim Brannigan's world is thrown into turmoil when his partner is inexplicably shot by one of the ex soldiers. As she clings to life, the vengeful copper learns that the elite killers have spread their net to include resurgent terrorists, a strategy that leads to mayhem on the streets of the UK. Unknown to even his comrades, the unit leader plans one final devastating act of revenge.

The British government's crisis committee, known as Cobra, meet in emergency session after a jihadist terror cell strikes at the heart of the United Kingdom, causing massive loss of life. The Heathrow attack is soon followed by coordinated atrocities around the world, creating an atmosphere of fear unprecedented since 9/11. Cobra calls upon a unit of former Special Forces to track and eliminate the terrorists responsible as the country grinds to a halt.

This fictional account of the rise of a Hitler-like figure is something that might not be too far off the mark. Be careful what you wish for. There was a consensus of thought that after the catastrophic loss of life resulting from the depravity of the Nazi era that no such ideology could darken our world again.
