    On today's Zero Limits Podcast in the studio I chat with Hemmo De Vries Explosive Ordnance Reconnaissance Tech - Special Operations Engineer Regiment Australian Army.

    Hemmo enlisted into the Australia Army as an Emergency Responder (Firefighter) in 2005. After completing basic training, initial employment training and firefighter course he was posted to Darwin to the Incident Response Regiment. After a year he was posted to Sydney and after completing advanced suitability assessments and basic SOF related courses, Hemmo was qualified to support the 2nd Commando Regiment in SF operations.

    During Hemmo’s service he deployed on multiple SOTG rotations earning team and individual commendations also a deployment to Iraq supporting the war on ISIS.

    In 2022 Hemmo and his Wife (former serving Australian Defence Force veteran) were involved in a serious motor vehicle accident which both are still recovering from.

    On today's Zero Limits Podcast I speak with Bryan Ramsbottom former Australian Army, W.A Police, Australian Federal Police and Co Owner Wet Canteen Bottling Company

    Bryan enlisted into the Army in 1998 serving in the Royal Australian Artillery Corps. During his service he deployed to East Timor with 5/7 RAR as a forward observer and a deployment on Op Relex Australian waters border force operations supporting the Navy. After discharge from the army Bryan joined Western Australian Police force spending 5 years on the force. He then transitioned to the Australian Federal Police joining their International Deployment Group.

    Bryan deployed to the Solomon Islands and South Sudan and in addition to his overseas work, Bryan was as a tactical intelligence officer with the AFP’s Specialist Response Group.

    In 2021 Brian co started Wet Canteen Bottling Company. Wet Canteen Bottling Company is an Australian-owned and operated brand. Partnering with Australian liquor distilleries we offering a range of spirits with the unique option of customised labels.

    On today's Zero Limits Podcast I speak with Jesse Parkin former Queensland Police Officer Tactical Crime Squad part time negotiator and founder PRKN Watches.

    Jesse was born and grew up in Rockhampton, during his younger years Jesse lost his older brother to Leukaemia at the age of 9 which ultimately led to depression and suicide of Jesse’s father at the age of 50 in 2007. During this time post schooling Jesse began work as a cabinet maker and in 2012 Jesse joined the QLD Police Service. During his service as a police officer he spent time in General Duties, Tactical Crime Squad, Criminal Investigation Branch, and also a role as a part-time Negotiator for high-risk situation.

    In 2023, Jesse launched PRKN watches, seeking a new direction outside police work, and in 2024, he left the police force to start a career in real estate.

    On today's Zero Limits Podcast I sit down with Heston Russell former 2nd Commando Regiment Australian Special Forces Officer.

    As a fifth generation Army Veteran, Heston followed in his father's footsteps and joined the Australian Army at the age of 17, graduating from the Royal Military College of Duntroon, Upon completion he was posted to the 2nd Battalion, Royal Australian Regiment (2 RAR). In 2010, Heston successfully completed the highly-competitive Special Forces selection (to become a Qualified Commando Officer within the 2nd Commando Regiment (2 CDO REGT), Special Operations Command - Australia (SOCOMD).

    During his service he deployed on multiple times including, Peacekeeping Operations in Timor-Leste, four Combat Operational Deployments to Afghanistan and the Middle East and serving in Iraq as the Special Operations Joint Lead Planner within the Special Operations Joint Task Force.

    In a significant victory in October 2023, Heston won a defamation case against the ABC and two journalists for false reporting of war crime allegations.

    Andy experienced a challenging upbringing, with a mother who was absent and struggled with alcoholism. He was raised by his older sister, who did her best to care for him. Despite his difficult childhood, Andy found solace and purpose in joining the military, specifically the Parachute Regiment.

    Andy enlisted at the age of 16 into the Parachute Regiment in 2003. He deployed to the deadly frontlines of Helmand Province, Afghanistan, in 2006, he confronted the brutal realities of warfare, engaging in some of the most intense combat witnessed by the British Army since the Korean War. After his military service, He was eventually medically discharged due to post-traumatic stress and other health issues. Andy discusses his transition from the military, to MI5, then into private security and finally the fire service and the rewarding aspects of his new career.

    Beyond The Drop Zone, takes you on a gripping journey from patrolling the streets of Northern Ireland to war-torn Iraq, coming face to face with ISIS, and engaging in fierce battles in Afghanistan with 3 PARA.

    On today's Zero Limits Podcast I chat with Peter Robins NSW Police Highway Patrol.

    Peter served 29 years in the NSW Police joining in 1994 going through the academy in Class 258. Peter spent most of his career within the Highway Patrol positing to many locations throughout NSW. During His career he has been the victim in over 170 events over 29 years as listed on the COPS system. These include being assaulted, resisted, physical injury or recipient of threats as a result of his duties.

    Peter was involved in a fatal shooting incident in 2019 where a male person known to police was attempting to set fire to the neighbour’s house with a flame thrower type device from his kitchen window. Upon arrival Police forced entry however whilst attempting to do so the male person opened the door raising an axe above his head. Peter’s colleague yelled axe and was able to throw himself off a small balcony to prevent being struck. As the male raised the axe above his head Peter fired a total of three shots fatally wounding the male.
