By: S4C
  • Summary

  • Wedi i'r sêr Hollywood, Ryan Reynolds a Rob McElhenney, brynu Clwb Pêl-droed Wrecsam, darganfyddwn sut mae hynny wedi effeithio'r dref ddosbarth gweithiol hon yng Ngogledd Cymru, a sut mae wedi cyfrannu at ein diwylliant chwaraeon, at ein iaith, ac at yr hyn sydd y ein cyd-glymu fel cenedl. Following the takeover of Wrexham AFC by Hollywood stars Ryan Reynolds and Rob McElhenney, we explore how the events of this working-class town in North Wales have contributed to sport, language, and the very fabric of what binds us as a nation.

    Nov 11 2022
Mae pêl-droedwyr benywaidd yn cael eu talu ffracsiwn o'r hyn y mae chwaraewyr gwrywaidd yn ei fwynhau, ac yn aml dim byd o gwbl. Er gwaethaf y cynnydd yn llwyddiant tîm merched Cymru, mae rhywiaeth ac anghydraddoldeb yn bodoli yn gyffredinol mewn chwaraeon. Edrychwn yn ddyfnach ar y broblem gyda chyfraniad gan Brif Swyddog Gweithredol Clwb Pêl-droed Wrecsam Fleur Robinson, seren Clwb Pêl-droed Wrecsam Lili Jones, cyn-gapten Cymru Laura McAllister, ac eraill sy'n mynd i'r afael â rhywiaeth yn y gêm ar bob lefel. _Women's footballers are paid a fraction of what male players enjoy, and often nothing at all. Despite the rise in success of the Welsh women's team, sexism and inequality exists across the board in sport. We take a deeper dive into the problem with insight from Wrexham AFC CEO Fleur Robinson, Wrexham AFC star Lili Jones, former Wales captain Laura McAllister, and others who are tackling sexism from grassroots up. _

  • Episode 2: Wrecsam: Parhaed yr hen iaith
    Nov 11 2022
Pan oedd Ifan Wyn yn ifanc, roedd yn cael ei alw’n enwau am siarad Cymraeg. Fel cefnogwr oes CPD Wrecsam, ni chwaraeodd y Gymraeg ran fawr yn ei brofiad o fynychu'r clwb ar ddyddiau Sadwrn. Ers hynny, mae pethau wedi newid, bellach mae Ifan yn gyhoeddwr Cymraeg i'r clwb. Mae Cymry Cymraeg lleol yn trafod y newid agwedd tuag at yr iaith yn Wrecsam ac yn rhyngwladol, ers i Rob a Ryan brynu’r clwb, gan gynnwys barn Rob ei hun tuag at iaith hynaf Ewrop. _When Ifan Wyn was young, he was often called names for speaking Welsh. As a lifelong Wrexham AFC fan, the Welsh language did not play a big part in his experiences at the regular Saturday matches. Since then, things have changed and Ifan is now a Welsh language announcer for the club. Local Welsh speakers discuss the changing face of the image of Welsh both in Wrexham and internationally, since Rob and Ryan bought the club, including Rob's own views on Europe's oldest living language. _
