  • Ep. 78, "Trusting Through Trials"
    Aug 7 2024

Welcome back to "Woman In The Mirror." Today, it's just Lady J, as Chavon is not with us, but the Lord has put a message on my heart that I felt compelled to share. In this solo episode, we dive deep into the theme of trust, especially during life's most challenging moments.

Drawing inspiration from 1 Peter 5:10, we explore the promise that, although we will suffer for a little while, God will restore, establish, strengthen, and settle us. This scripture serves as a powerful reminder of God's unwavering faithfulness even when we face trials and tribulations.

We discuss the importance of understanding our divine assignment, which includes enduring suffering successfully. As we navigate through life's tests, we must remember to trust God wholeheartedly, just as Job did in the midst of his afflictions. Can we be trusted with trouble? Can we maintain our faith and trust in God even when circumstances are tough?

Our pastor, Jarett R. Williams, posed a significant question: "Can God trust you with trouble?" Reflecting on this, we are reminded that suffering and problems are part of everyone's journey, but God's promise to restore and strengthen us remains steadfast.

In this episode, we also touch on popular expressions like "You understood the assignment," emphasizing that our spiritual assignment involves enduring and overcoming adversity with grace and faith.

As we conclude, I leave you with a prayer: may the Lord establish, strengthen, and restore you, no matter what you are facing today. Trust in God's plan, for He knows the plans He has for you, even when we do not. Remember, God loves you more than anyone else ever could.

Thank you for joining me today. If you don't yet know Jesus, I invite you to accept Him, as He is the way to the Father. I pray this message encourages you and strengthens your faith. Have an amazing week, and never forget, I love you, and there's nothing you can do about it. God bless you!

    Scriptures Highlighted:

    • 1 Peter 5:10: "But the God of all grace, who hath called us unto his eternal glory by Christ Jesus, after that ye have suffered a while, make you perfect, stablish, strengthen, settle you."
    • Jeremiah 29:11: "For I know the plans I have for you, declares the Lord, plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future."
