How can we reinforce accountability for African leaders? Electoral commissions should create presidential KPI’s that a seating candidate/leader should meet before being allowed to campaign for re-election : a minimum threshold of accountability that would strengthen integrity. This way we are not promised the same undelivered goals for the nation. Honesty, transparency and integrity are the key ingredients for anyone in a position of leadership. Without vision there is no direction. We need an open dialogue between the different political parties within a specific country and a clear roadmap on how leaders drive economic growth for the people. Let our leaders be the primary consumers of the services they create for us.
