  • The importance of having the right people in your corner is crucial. They not only assist you with giving you water, cleaning you up, and encouraging you in between rounds. But sometimes they deliver the hard truth that you are indeed losing the fight and give you instruction on what you need to do to win. They are also able to see angles during the fight that a fighter may not see. I can also speak as a fighter myself, while being in the ring, your cornermen are the only voices you hear while in the fight (even over the loud crowd). Whether you’re winning or losing they are the most important voices you need to hear.


    The importance of a cornerman also translates to our lives as Christians. It’s important that we rely on the Holy Spirit to discern who we should receive counsel from. Rather during a season of spiritual, mental, physical, and/or emotional battles or a season of victory and blessings, we need Christ-filled people in our life that God has placed to be there.
