    If you think you're not an addict, listen to this. Because if you have a smartphone, you're probably addicted to it. Whatever the addictive behaviour (drugs, alcohol, shopping, scrolling, porn, romantic fantasies, gambling, etc) it' s important not to think of ourselves as bad, stupid or lacking a moral compass. Addiction is self-medication for an underlying problem, which is emotional, mental and spiritual by nature. In order to heal therefore, we don't need to be shamed, disciplined, educated. Rather, we need a community of loving people and a way to address our emotional and mental dysfunctions, so that we can find our way from self-judgment, resentment and fear into wholeness and purpose and self-acceptance.
