  • The Bengali Girl Who Broke Free | Urmi Hossain | We're All Humans Here Episode #10
    May 4 2022

Imagine being the first Bengali girl born in Italy.

How would you deal with the differences in culture?

What kind of norms would you find yourself in?

Blending and blurring the boundaries of Eastern and Western cultures, this is the exact position Urmi found herself. Born in Southern Italy, Urmi has spent much her life living two lives.

On the one hand, she grew up and went to school developed under the libreal Western ways, while on the other, lived at home under the stricter gender roles of the Bengali way.

This week, Urmi guides us through her journey of what it was like growing up, and how she developed her passion and dedication to help women around the world break free of the gender roles subject to them at birth.

No longer should women be forced into marriages from a young age, or grow up simply to serve their household. Urmi is dedicated to in so many beautiful ways to her message that no matter who you are or where you live; Your life is your own. You always have a choice.

Talking with Urmi about her experiences and her worldview was such a lovely experience and I loved every second. Urmi (a name which literally means 'wave') has so much passion and drive to help set the world and its people free, and you'll love what she has to say.

A really nice, chill chat, and I'm honoured I got to spend my time with you! As always, be sure to let me know what you think and join in the conversation in the comments. Don't forget to sub and share!

  • defying your expections | Katie Mason | We're All Humans Here #9
    Apr 27 2022

This week, I'm joined by the wonderful Katie, a 20-something girl from Ireland who has spent the last few years of her life overcoming her quarter-life crisis. Coming from a difficult background where money was tight and opportunities were limited, Katie found herself on the typical path to success that so many of us are told is the way to go, from working hard in school to heading off to university before getting yourself a well-paid job.

But life just isn't that simple.

Join us as we discuss Katie's journey around the world trying to discover herself, her fight to understand the conflicting values of herself and those from the people around her, to then experiencing her crisis situation that helped unlock the door to seeing the world, her life, and her purpose, in a whole new way.

It was a lot of fun talking to Katie, even though we had a ton of technical difficulties (hence why there's no video), but we got it all done in the end, so I hope you enjoy this episode! As always, be sure to let me know what you think and join in the conversation in the comments.

  • Seeking Excellence Everyday | Joe Templin | We're All Humans Here Episode #8
    Apr 20 2022

Be like the moon. Whether you're half or full, you still affect the tides of the world.

With the rerelease of his new book, Everday Excellence, the amazing parent, ultramarathon runner, and now author Joe Templin comes on this week's episode to talk about excellence, and perhaps not in the way you may think.

    We cover so many topics here, including;

    - How your experiences make you who you are

    - Taking control of the micro-decisions that make your life what it is

    - Achieving mastery in whatever you want

    - Why you get complacent and make poor decisions

    - How to take back control of your life and walk the path you want

It was an absolute pleasure to talk to Joe about his life, his experiences, and his view on the world, and so inspiring and motivated to hear about how he does things, and I feel so pumped to live a life I'm happy to wake up to.

Big thank you for coming on the show, and I can't wait to see your rise over the next few years!
