• Manifestation With Author and Speaker Jennifer Miracle-Best
    Jan 13 2021

Author and Speaker Jennifer Miracle-Best joins Dr. Emma Lockwood to talk about manifesting, and how it relates to all of us as we finally escape 2020 and begin 2021.

We all vibrate at different frequencies, and having self-awareness is incredibly important as our thoughts and feelings manifest themselves.

Gratitude is a conscious idea. In our COVID-19 world, it can be hard to come by, but it can be incredibly powerful.

Dr. Emma and Jennifer also chat about vision boards - and why this might be a great time to put one together.

Finally, Jennifer takes us through her career journey and her work with the LGBTQ+ community.

  • Desiree Winans on Adrenal Fatigue
    Dec 30 2020

Desiree Winans rejoins Dr. Emma Lockwood in this episode to talk about adrenal fatigue.  The adrenal glands, just above the kidneys, often kick into overdrive during long periods of stress.  And 2020 has been one long period of stress for so many.

Desiree shares some recommendations, including Rhodiola, CBD, Ashwagandha, licorice root, and bee pollen.  Some of these actually correspond to your blood type.

Emma and Desiree also cover the importance of sleep - how much and when you get it.  Everything in the body starts with sleep.

Finally, winter may not be the time to try a diet or cleanse - Desiree explains why.

  • Therapist Cally Kantarian on Self Care
    Dec 16 2020

We all know how difficult 2020 has been.  And in the beginning of the pandemic, self care was a popular topic.  But as the months wore on, many of us got away from it. And the holidays are a time when self care is needed.

Cally says it's important to acknowledge sadness and feelings of loss during COVID, and not just push those feelings to the side.  Therapists and mindfulness can be great tools.

Are you working from home?  Create separation between home space and work space - both physical difference, and maybe even showering and/or changing clothes when transitioning from one to other.

Don't be afraid of holiday weight gain.  Listen to your body at this time and don't be afraid to give it what it needs.  That includes a little bit of grace.

Empaths who are taking care of people at this time may also experience weight gain as the body reacts to its environment.

Cally talks about not body positivity, but body neutrality.  She explains.

  • Vibrational Healing with Lissin Lev Chaya
    Jul 20 2020

Today, Dr. Emma Lockwood is joined by her sister, Lissin Lev Chaya, to talk about vibrational healing.

Lissin discusses her background and passion for singing, and how it - and her voice - led her to everything she does today.  In fact, her voice is her main tool when it comes to vibrational healing.  Other tools that vibrational healers use include stones, crystals, oils, bowls, and even tuning forks.

Lissin takes us inside a typical session with her, and how important the chakra system is to her work.

The seven chakras are the root chakra, sacral chakra, solar plexus chakra, heart chakra, throat chakra, brow chakra, and crown chakra.  We break these down in terms of both description and colors associated with each.

Finally, we spend the second half of our episode with Lissin leading us through a vibrational healing exercise that you can follow along with as you listen.

  • Acupuncturist Monica Mae Leibson
    Jun 29 2020

Today, Dr. Emma Lockwood is joined by acupuncturist Monica Mae Leibson.

Monica tells us how a childhood illness set her on the path toward herbal medicine, and how she found her passion.

Next, she explains acupuncture itself - as it relates to the Chinese concepts of Chi and balance - and what the process is like.  Even people who are afraid of traditional needles quickly learn that this process is much different.  In fact, Monica tells a funny story about treating doctors and nurses, and how they reacted to acupuncture.

We explore the 5 elements of Chinese medicine - wood, fire, water, earth, and metal.   So much of the body is connected, hence why chiropractic and acupuncture often complement each other quite well.

Finally, Monica walks us through what your first appointment with her looks like, and what to expect.
