They are part of a nationwide increase in assaults where teenage offenders use hookup apps to lure their victims before bashing them and filming the attacks, which are then uploaded to social media sites.     Police in mutiple states are investigating a new form of homophobic violence where perpetrators use social media to post and boast about their crimes. Teenage offenders are assaulting and robbing people after using hook-up apps like Grindr to lure their victims. In some cases, the attacks are filmed and then uploaded to social media. There's also been an increase in street attacks involving teenage offenders.
