  • Summary

  • Do events from your past plague and haunt you? Are you walking through a storm that feels like it will never end? Is your battle rendering you hopeless? You desire to be a Warrior like Joan of Arc, but at the end of the day, you just feel like Mrs. Banks from Mary Poppins. No more, my friend! You may feel like you’re fighting alone, but this battle was never meant to be a solo endeavor. You were meant to be a Warrior among Warriors. I, too, grew up thinking my battles were mine alone. Until I found myself in an abusive marriage and felt cut off from all avenues of help. Life dealt its blows. One after another. It wasn’t until I finally realized life’s battles weren’t meant to be fought alone that I began not only to survive but thrive. In this podcast, you will hear stories from Warriors; the Warriors’ Words. They will tell you of their battles, the ones they won and the ones they lost. You will hear their journeys and the lessons they learned along the way. But we don’t stop there. These Warriors will share how they have taken lessons learned and started thriving. We share how we have found the Beauty in the Broken. Whether it’s an abusive marriage, a serious illness, a mental health crisis, or any number of traumas this world dishes out, these Warriors will use their Words to help you find the beauty in your broken, move beyond your battles and become the Thrivor God created you to be. Now pick up your sword - or boxing gloves - and join me in battle. Your words are powerful, my friends, let’s make them Warrior Words! • 47. Diagnosed with Cancer at a Young Age Fueled Her Fire to Help Others Share Their Stories with April Stearns
    Nov 26 2024
Welcome to Episode 47 of the Warrior Words podcast! Cancer is a disease of older people, right? Sadly, this is not true. Children, teens, and young adults are being diagnosed more and more. What do you do if you're the only one you know who is undergoing cancer treatment as a young adult with a baby at home? There are no support groups. There's no one to contact who is currently in treatment or has survived for you to connect with. Now, there are online groups for just about anything you can imagine, but 10, 15, or 20 years ago? Not-so-much. April navigated this difficult time in her life in a world without much social media and no local groups for women her age. But she didn't let it stop her! She instead, allowed it to light a fire - a fire that would burn and grow into a wildfire supporting women 50ish or younger who have been diagnosed with breast cancer. Tune in to learn what she did, and continues to do, with that fire! Nov 19 2024

Welcome to Episode 46 of the Warrior Words podcast!

Pregnancy is something women have been experiencing since the beginning of time. Some women have phenomenal experiences and others' experiences can be downright horrendous. Sadly, there are many reasons for this.

In this week's episode, I speak with Brigid who has had five different experiences - one of which literally tore her up inside. And yet she went on to have more children.

    How does someone do this?

How do we continue to do something that hurts us? Well, we find a way to make it not hurt so badly.

Listen in to discover what Brigid did and how she's now helping other women.

    Nov 12 2024

Welcome to Episode 45 of the Warrior Words podcast!

November is typically associated with gratitude (and maybe football and family feasting!).

To that end, I wanted to share some thoughts on gratitude, my personal experiences of gratitude while walking through storms, and ways you can consider gratitude as you walk through your own storms.
