As Canadian companies rush to respond to the COVID-19 outbreak, many are dusting off their crisis communications plans and realizing they hadn’t accounted for a possible pandemic. Given how little time business leaders have had to develop their approach, responses to date have been admirable. But many would welcome some clear information to help guide their communications going forward.

Throughout her 20-year career, Andrea Lekushoff, Canadian PR leader and president of Broad Reach Communications, has guided companies in diverse industries across Canada as they’ve navigated crises large and small, as well as through rebuilding their brands once the crisis was over. Andrea has developed a robust, thoughtful approach to supporting her clients in leadership communications during the COVID-19 outbreak.

Kim has excelled as an enterprise sales executive in the technology sector throughout her career. After many years of selling in the global account marketplace, Kim decided to go out on her own and help small businesses learn how to generate exponential growth by selling big deals to big clients.

Her experience at TELUS selling into large accounts, in Canada, the USA, and globally taught her much about the rewards of big business returns. Following her experience in emerging technology selling, she worked for 3 large, best-of-breed, USA cybersecurity software manufacturers selling into corporate accounts.

In addition to her work in technology, she has been a Board member of several non-profit organizations for the past 22 years giving time and expertise to the community and special causes.

Her current work not only includes helping small companies with big deal selling but also works with her clients to help them build efficient and effective Boards and protect their companies by understanding cybersecurity governance and regulation.

Paul Vallée is the founder and CEO of Tehama and a serial entrepreneur who has spent his career at the forefront of cutting-edge technologies that enable the exchange of work over the internet.

When founding Pythian in 1997, Paul envisioned a future that allows anyone to work from anywhere. Perceiving an opportunity for the Internet and related technologies to unlock human potential, he set out to apply and invent technology that could securely connect global workforces to enterprise IT systems.

Paul was a pioneer in remote connectivity technology and lays claim to the first application of IPSEC VPN technology to enable enterprises to consume services over the internet. Paul founded Pythian as a data-centric services business with a focus on remote work, and under his leadership, the company developed groundbreaking tools that enable teams to work and interact seamlessly and securely even when dispersed across multiple continents. It is at Pythian that Tehama was born, then launched to the public in 2018, and now spun out to develop its opportunity to help global enterprises seeking to secure their services supply chain.

With Tehama now independent, Paul has redoubled his commitment to the future of work. Tehama’s Virtual Office as a Service technology makes it easy for enterprises to manage, onboard and audit third-party vendors, remote teams, and freelancers by providing compliant, secure, cloud-based virtual desktops available on-demand globally.

Paul is a sought-after speaker who was named 2016’s Diversity Champion by Canada’s Women in Communications and Technology, is active in the Council of Canadian Innovators, and the CIO Strategy Council, and serves on the board of the Basic Income Canada Network.
