Marietta residents expressed confusion and concern over the tax, with some, like Derrick Harvey, unaware of its existence despite staying informed on local news. New resident Kelsey George made efforts to understand the local elections by consulting the county's sample ballot and discussing with coworkers. Voter turnout has been strong, with over 232,000 ballots cast in Cobb County and a statewide turnout exceeding previous years. Georgia Secretary of State Brad Raffensperger highlighted the ease of voting due to increased Early Voting days and infrastructure improvements. The advanced voting period ends Friday, with resources available for voters seeking more information.
