  • Summary

  • Thin Brewed Line Podcast is about the mental and physical health of our men and women in blue or green police uniforms. Our coffee and convo is all about helping cops! No fancy podcast equipment, just some real talk in hopes to help cops and their mental health. We share perspectives, thoughts, ideas and experiences of those that have and still are serving as police officers . We are not health professionals but merely a conduit to pass on information and resources to LEO's who may need or want it. Your host, Dan is a 20 year veteran retired Tucson cop, served in the Marines and owns the coffee company. Dan worked patrol as an officer and supervisor and SWAT for 13 years as an operator, team leader, sniper and mechanical breacher. Also in his resume is several years in plain clothes UC work as an officer and supervisor that worked property, gun and drug crimes as well as human trafficking. Your co-host, Kurt Dabb, who is a 20 year (retired) Arizona Sheriffs Deputy, homicide detective, training officer and now works to help other cops with their resiliency and health. Thin Brewed Line Podcast can be found on social media. Sponsored by our founding badass coffee company Filthy Pirate Coffee. @filthypiratecoffee on social media https://filthypirate.coffee

Sgt John Kelly breaks down some of his 30 year career at Broward Co Sheriff's Office with Kurt and Dan. He says some really honest and profound things that are all too familiar with cops. John had a very distinguished career, "despite being an alcoholic, addict, adulterer, (that's just the A's, lol)." He struggled with PTSD and suicidal ideation. Now John has developed a wellness/ leadership program called "Sometimes Heroes Need Help" and have been presenting at conferences and agencies for the past 16 months
