• Women's Body Hair
    Dec 4 2020

When I was growing up, fitting in used to matter to me a lot!

I was consumed by the validation of others and didn’t want to do anything to stand out. As I got older, I began to learn that the things that so many people complained about and made fun of, actually didn’t matter.

One of those things is women’s body hair and on today’s episode, I’ll be discussing just that.

I no longer care what people think about my body hair and you shouldn’t either.

  • Road To Home Ownership
    Nov 27 2020

Today’s episode describes my journey from insecure housing to homeownership. As a single mother and woman who is constantly challenging the status quo and beating the odds, I am super excited to share this journey with you all!

Additional note regarding the down payment: I don’t think I mentioned but I had a one-year financial goal. A portion of this goal would be to purchase a house and some would go towards publishing my second book. By practicing a fairly strict savings budget, I was able to reach my goal in six months.

Any extra money I received and didn’t immediately need went to my savings account. Despite my budget and goal, I still treated myself whenever I wanted because it was important for me to still live along the way.

The minimum down payment on a house is 5% of the purchase cost (i.e. A $300,000 house with a 5% downpayment would cost you $15,000 + closing fees)

    Closing costs are approximately $3,000

  • How I Found God
    Nov 20 2020

From Sunday school to suicide to homelessness and religion.

In today’s episode, I’ll be sharing my testimony about how I found God.

After having grown up in an abusive household and placed into the foster care system, I was convinced that God wasn’t real but God proved me wrong.

  • Hidradenitis Suppurativa
    Nov 13 2020

Hidradenitis Suppurativa is a rare skin disease that causes painful cysts in the armpit, groin, and butt area.

I have lived with this disease that doctors say is incurable since I was a pre-teen.

Typically, I am very embarrassed by this condition but today, I am opening up and sharing to raise awareness and practice body positivity.
